Making the World a More Loving World by loving “the least of these”

Jesus said to welcome all people...
...so we welcome all people

All people have a place at God’s table, and all people deserve to have a comfortable and loving space for a funeral or memorial service. Whether the deceased was Christian or other, religious or not, whatever the circumstances of death, we will not turn anyone away from celebrating or mourning the life of a loved one. We offer an intimate sanctuary in a handicapped-accessible, air-conditioned building.

Please speak with Pastor David about your needs, whether you would like a full-scale funeral with hymns and readings and eulogies or if you would simply like a space to gather to tell stories.

Pastor David is also available to offer funeral planning and leadership at funeral homes or spaces other than at Plymouth.

Our Sanctuary

We can fit about 120 guests comfortably, with overfloor room for another 60 or so into the fellowship room. We use chairs instead of pews, and our space is flexible.

Music

Our church musician can provide appropriate piano, guitar, and vocal music to make the funeral as meaningful as possinble, or you may bring your own musicians. We have a professional multi-track audio/video system that can support your guest musicians and their equipment.

Fees

Let us help you have a comforting and meaningful funeral or memorial service for your loved ones.

Who We Are

Plymouth is a progressive community of love that provides a safe, supportive space for religious exploration and spiritual growth. We prefer questions over answers, compassion over doctrine, and exploring together over going it alone. Jesus cared for people more than he was interested in how they followed "rules", so Plymouth favors loving-kindness and social justice for gay and straight, rich and poor, male and female, goth and hipster, cowboy and rocker...
Wherever you are on life's journey, you are welcome here.

Join us in our mission to make the world a more loving place!
