Christmas Eve Lessons and Carols

Join us for a beautiful Lessons and Carols featuring many of our church musicisns offering favorite carols and treasured Christmas songs, ending with Silent Night.

Please first download the worship bulletin so you can follow along with the prayers, the readings, and the carols.

Please have your candles ready for Silent Night at the end. You can also use your candles at 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve when the Chippewa Valley community is asked to go outside and sing "Silent Night" while station 98.1 FM plays it on the radio. It's another way of being connected in this time of separation due to Covid-19.

We are offering worship by video

Because the rate of COVID in Wisconsin, including Eau Claire and surrounding environs, is far too high for us to safely or responsibly gather in person, we are broadcasting our worship on our church's YouTube channel. Sunday morning worship is published sometime on the Saturday before, but always available by 6 am on Sunday morning. A cross-post will be made on our Facebook page with a link to the YouTube video, and we will post a link here on this website as well.

Bulletins will always be posted here on the website as well, with a link on this page and also in the description of our YouTube videos.

Pastor David posts a vesper service (evening prayers) on evenings, Monday through Friday, and those are posted to our YouTube channel sometime during the day but before 7 pm. A cross link is posted on our Facebook page at or around 7 pm.

December 20 - Fourth Sunday of Advent

We light the fourth Advent Candle - the candle of Love - have music from Lynn McFadyen, and read the opening of John's Gospel, and offer some familiar carols.

December 13 - Third Sunday of Advent

Join us for worship on our YouTube channel. Download the bulletin. We light the third Advent Candle - the candle of Joy - have music from Lynn McFadyen (and she plays a Lorie Line piece!), read the opening of Matthew's Gospel, and offer some familiar carols.

December 6 - Second Sunday of Advent

Join us for worship on our YouTube channel. Download the bulletin. We light the second Advent Candle - the candle of Peace - have music from Lynn McFadyen, read the opening of Luke 1, and share in Communion. Since we are sharing Communion, you might wish to prepare some bread and some juice or wine so that you join in Communion when the time comes. We also have Communion packets available at the church office which you can come pick up anytime the office is open (9-11 am on weekdays) and use them for sharing in worship, which we do the first Sunday of each month.

November 29 - First Sunday of Advent
